Improving sustainability of our logistic process
To further improve sustainability of our logistic processes, we keep investing in measures that contribute to it. We do this throughout all levels of our organization. A few examples or our sustainability measures include:
- Automatic tyre pressure system on all trailers
- ‘Eco-Driving’ training for drivers
- In-house RADI (Register Advisor for Durable Employability) who focusses on our staff’s health and durable employability
- Applying Long Combination Vehicles (LCVs) to trajectory transport
- Solar panels on our buildings
- Using LNG trucks
- Monitoring drivers’ driving habits
- Intermodal transport
Intermodal transport
Part of sustainable transport is intermodal or multimodal transport. We then use various means of transportation, while the goods themselves remain in the same container. Whether it is transport by road, ocean, air, or rails, all combinations are possible. Per shipment, we determine your trajectory’s optimal parameters. Intermodal transport not only saves time and costs for you, but reduces the burden on our environment.
Lean & green
We were one of the first companies to possess the ‘Lean & Green Award and three stars’. Lean & Green is a carbon emission reduction programme. It encourages organizations to take actions that reduce costs as well as pressure on our environment. It allows organizations to show that they care for more sustainable logistic processes.
Certificates
Besides the ‘Lean & Green Award & Star’ we possess several certificates that guarantee the quality of our services. We follow the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 (HST International B.V.) norms, and are AEO certified, among other qualifications. read more about our certificates
