As the regular carrier for Uzin Utz and INTR., HST Group is involved in a new initiative to make freight transport more sustainable.
An electric truck has recently been deployed to transport products from both companies. With a range of approximately 350 kilometers, Twente is the first to benefit from this new form of emission-free transport.
Preparation for zero-emission zones
This step has been taken in view of the upcoming introduction of zero-emission zones in cities such as Enschede (from July 1, 2025), Zwolle (since January 2025), and Deventer (from 2028). By starting with electric transport now, we are responding to future regulations and reducing the ecological impact of transport.
The truck is charged at HST with 100% sustainably generated electricity. This contributes to reducing air pollution and noise pollution in urban areas.
