The last 10 in the series of 21 brand-new DAF tractors are now shining at the Transport Center and, of course, on the road. These consist of 4x DAF CF 450 FT with Space Cab and 17 x DAF XF 450 FT with Super Space Cab.

DAF tractors 

The DAF CF tractors are used for transport in the Benelux. The DAF XF tractors, on the other hand, are used for international transport to Scandinavia, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. We chose DAF again to replace our current fleet. This is entirely due to DAF's excellent reputation. "In terms of reliability, safety, and driver comfort, we have been driving DAF trucks to our complete satisfaction for many years. We manage the maintenance of our fleet ourselves and do so in accordance with DAF's guidelines. We are supported in this by our dealer Sent Waninge in Hengelo and DAF's technical specialist," says Gerard ter Brugge, director of HST Group.

Our diverse fleet consists of approximately 180 vehicles, 110 of which are DAFs. About 45 of these are the latest generation of DAFs. What is special is that not only do we have many DAF trucks in our fleet, but we also transport many different parts for DAF on a daily basis. These are used for the assembly of complete trucks.

Making logistics processes more sustainable

Sustainability is a high priority. That is why the engine and aerodynamic improvements, and the resulting lower fuel consumption, also played a major role in the choice. Because the trucks comply with the Euro 6 standard, this generation of tractors fits in well with the course set to make logistics processes more sustainable. As an all-round logistics service provider, we want to be able to offer good service not only today, but also in the future.
