Ten new Schmitz Cargobull semi-trailers

HST 2 1400 1140x500

Intermodal transport

These are Huckepack sliding tarpaulin trailers that are mainly used for (intermodal) transport to Scandinavia, Switzerland, and southern Germany. In the context of sustainability, trains are increasingly being used for longer distances. The total trailer fleet comprises around 350 semi-trailers. The ten new Schmitz Cargobull semi-trailers are an addition to the fleet.

Sliding roofs and extra stanchions

The Schmitz Cargobull semi-trailers are standard sliding tarpaulin semi-trailers, equipped with sliding roofs and extra stanchions. This makes the semi-trailers suitable for transporting loose car tires or timber, thanks to the stanchion positions in the middle of the floor. The trailers are also equipped with a Transics tracking system, which allows them to be tracked throughout Europe, and have been awarded the TÜV Code XL certificate for load securing. This means, among other things, that no additional load securing is required for dimensionally stable loads and that the trailers are suitable for transport by rail at speeds of up to 140 km/h.

LZV approved

We currently use three LZV combinations, and these trailers are also approved for use in LZV. The ability to transport maximum transport volumes and the use of intermodal transport routes fits in well with our sustainability policy to make logistics processes more sustainable.

In addition, we have recently added 54 Krone semi-trailers and 11 new DAF tractors to our fleet. More on that soon!
